All PPS users now have access to a brand new integration which brings telehealth to PPS.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been in touch with so many of our clients who are trying to adjust to this new version of normality and find a way to keep treating patients during this difficult time.
We quickly realised that just like us, you needed a way of working remotely, something which doesn’t necessarily come easily when your job normally involves so much face to face contact with people. So we set about bringing you the next best thing to welcoming your patients through your clinic doors; video consultations!
Luckily, we live in an era where most people are pretty well connected and if you weren’t before, the chances are you will be now. Most people have access to a multitude of devices, and not only can we use these tools to keep in touch with friends and family that we can’t see right now, but you can also use that technology to keep in touch with your patients too.
Available now
We’ve added video consultations to PPS! This wasn’t something that was on our development plan to be introduced to PPS any time soon, and so to get this functionality to you quickly we focused on a basic integration that will meet your needs. We will continue to work on the development of this new feature and we’ll be reacting to your feedback to keep things running as smoothly as possible, too!
Getting started
Now the integration is live, you don’t need to do anything to activate it. The next time you log in to PPS Express and open up a consultation window, you will have the option to invite your patient to a video consultation by sending an SMS or Email.
We’ve made it really simple and easy to use so that you can focus on providing treatment. We’ve also put together a help guide in case you do need a little guidance which you can find here.
Free usage
Right now, our main priority is to ensure that we continue to support you during this time as much as we can, which is why video consultations are completely free to use.
When the time is right, we will review the costs associated with this functionality with the intention to price it as fairly as possible, as we do with all of our services.
Online appointment booking
If you’re ready to start using video consultations, make sure you check out our guide on setting up your online booking service so that you patients can book and pay for their appointments online, too!
